It's Mental Health Week this week and we are thankful to our Wellbeing Council and new Anti-Bullying Ambassadors for their excellent assembly on Monday. This year's theme is 'Community' and what better way to promote the benefits of this than our very own community of 'Wellbeing Walkers'. Today we marked VE Day. Our children dressed up in various dress from Commonwealth dress, 1940s style to Scouts and Guides. We observed a 2-minute silence at midday and enjoyed a special VE Day picnic lunch. Today is a very special day. Today is Good Friday. Our school chapel is undecorated and silent this morning as we quietly contemplate Christ's sacrifice and the importance of forgiveness. We're excited to announce that our new holiday club, Capybaras, will be open for Easter bookings tomorrow at 10am! Whilst still offering the great selection of activities that Multisport offered, there's now art and drama added in as well as the usual swimming fun. Our Eco Council led an impressive assembly, introducing Thomas Frank's Great Food Waste Challenge! The children explored creative ways to reduce food waste at school and were shocked by how much we throw away each week. We even had a fun food planning competition between teachers and pupilsplus a special feathery guest who delivered freshly laid eggs as prizes!
