Our pupils never fail to impress! Yesterday evening, our Upper School gymnasts took part in an in-house gymnastics competition and performed brilliantly throughout. This week we have been celebrating Mental Health Awareness Week Our Wellbeing Council have worked hard putting together a special video showcasing some of the ways we support wellbeing here at St Piran's. This week our Year 1 pupils enjoyed a wonderful trip to Waltham Place Farm and Educational Centre The day was packed with outdoor learning, as the children explored animal and plant life cycles, discovered how pollination works and spotted different pollinators around the gardens. Time in the woodland brought plenty of excitement too, with nature games and creative activities using objects found on the forest floor. Today we bid farewell to our South Africa exchange pupils and staff as they travel home this evening With this, we bring to a close another incredibly enriching year of partnership with Cordwalles Preparatory School and St John's DSG. The pupils involved have shared such a special experience, learning more about each other's cultures, creating lasting memories and forming wonderful new friendships along the way. Today our Year 5 pupils stepped back into Ancient Egyptian times Taking part in activities such as mummification, banqueting and role-play, they explored a range of customs and stories from the period. Last week our Year 4 pupils had a fantastic time at Cuffley Activity Centre They loved the experience of sleeping in wooden pods in the middle of the woodland, and their highlights included the campfire, laser tag, zip wire, Postman's Walk and buggy building.
