St Piran’s Celebrates Innovation, Community and Resilience

This story covers the week commencing 8th June 2026.
Pupils, staff and families at St Piran’s enjoyed a vibrant and successful week, marked by standout events that highlighted the strength of the school’s community and its commitment to nurturing confident, resilient learners.
A particular highlight was the school’s Digital Showcase Day, which welcomed representatives from 13 schools alongside Governors. The event provided an opportunity to celebrate the innovative ways technology is being embedded across the curriculum. Pupils took centre stage as outstanding ambassadors, confidently guiding visitors on tours and demonstrating their digital skills, while staff shared their expertise through a range of engaging presentations. Guests left inspired by the creativity, collaboration and forward-thinking approach evident throughout the school.
The week also reflected the strong sense of community that underpins life at St Piran’s. The recent St Piran’s Society Summer Party brought families together for an enjoyable evening while raising valuable funds to support the school. Such events continue to play an important role in enriching opportunities for pupils and strengthening connections across the school community.
Across the year groups, pupils embraced a wide range of experiences designed to build confidence and independence. Younger children explored the natural world during a visit to Braywick Nature Centre, while Year 5 pupils approached their examinations with maturity and determination. Meanwhile, Sports Days brought energy and excitement to the school, providing opportunities for pupils to strive for personal bests, demonstrate teamwork and show grace in both success and challenge.
Looking ahead, Year 6 pupils are preparing for their residential trip to Battisborough House, a much-anticipated milestone that supports the development of independence, teamwork and self-belief.
Overall, the week at St Piran’s was a celebration of innovation, participation and resilience, values that continue to underpin the school’s approach to education and inspire its pupils to thrive both in and beyond the classroom.
