St Piran's Society

The St Piran's Society plays an important part in the life of the school, bringing together parents and enhancing the community spirit around us. The St Piran's Society comprises each and every parent or guardian of pupils in our school.

The Society organises a variety of fundraising activities that take place throughout the year raising funds for the school and nominated charities including quiz evenings, a Summer Ball and second-hand uniform sales. Some of our parents meet for a weekly parents' prayer group in the Chapel to pray for the school every Thursday morning.

The St Piran's Society Committee meets several times per term and is responsible for decision making and managing the finances, as well as overseeing the organisation of activities. Class representatives assist in liaising between the parents and the school to help with bringing Society's events to life.

We welcome the active involvement of parents, as Committee members, class reps, or to lead, and participate in, our events.

St Piran's Summer Ball

The Greatest Showman Ball

HUGE thank you to all those who attended our annual Ball on Saturday night. We really hope you had a wonderful evening! We certainly did!

We’ll be reporting back very soon about how much was raised and what it’s going to be spent on, but in the meantime, we want to say how grateful we are to all those who helped make it a brilliantly fun night, whether you gave prizes, helped set up and clear down or attended! We appreciate all the support!

If you won a Giving Tree prize and have not yet collected it, someone will be in the school office from 3:30 to 5:30 on Friday 14th June to hand it over!

Photographic evidence of the fun can be seen at https://www.photostars.co.uk/t...— [password in this week's newsletter]

Massive thanks to ACTIVE SECURITY for their ongoing support of this event. We are delighted they chose to sponsor it again this year!

Next event: Triathlon

Each year, the children have a chance to have a go at this fast growing, exciting sport in the school grounds in the St Piran’s Triathlon Challenge.

This year the Triathlon Challenge is on June 30th 2019 and is a swim/bike/run format for Years 3-6 with the distances suitable for each year determined by the games staff and in accordance with the guidelines of the sport’s governing body Triathlon England.

To be as inclusive as possible, there is also a scooter/bike/run race format for Years 1 and 2.

Any queries or for further information, contact Campbell at: triathlon@stpirans.co.uk

Christmas Fair

Thank you so much to everyone who attended the Christmas Fair on Sunday 2nd December. We really hope you and your children enjoyed it. We were so happy to see so many people supporting the event. We also had lots of volunteers setting up, running and tidying away. Without all of this help it couldn’t have happened. Thank you.

We are delighted to say that the event raised just shy of £2,500!

In addition to the proceeds from the event, every purchase from the Usborne stall resulted in a contribution of books from the company. Thanks to your shopping, St Piran’s will receive £300 worth of books for the children to enjoy!
